Rajiv is a real estate development and construction professional with vast and varied experience. He has particular expertise with industries undergoing rapid change and evolution. He is active in the firm’s consulting division and advises on CEO and board succession and talent for multinational conglomerates as well as early stage startups. He has held leadership position in leading firms in India. Prior to CNA International, he was Sr.Vice President & Director with HCL Technologies Ltd- A 6 Billion USD IT Company – and led the construction of nearly 8 million Sq. ft. of IT space for their in-house use. As Chief Operating Officer of DLF-Laing O’ Rourke India Ltd. (a 50:50 JV of Real estate leader in India DLF and Laing O’Rourke a 6 Billion USD British Construction Conglomerate) he built the company from scratch and recruited more than 800 engineers.He was also the Regional Head –North for Construction Giant Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd.
He is a master in all aspects of Project Management and held in high esteem in the Industry by architects, project management and construction companies. He has earned this respect with his keen and in depth knowledge of construction having worked in contracting firms, real estate development and companies and also a client’s Engineer developing real estate for in house use.
With his immense and 360 degree experience of Real Estate & Construction Industry he understand the demands and requirements of each and every stakeholder of building construction Industry and has a great insight of the human resources required to make a project successful .This in-depth knowledge has given him a keen eye to spot the right leadership for the project and the employer.
Rajiv is an Alumnus of one of the best institutions in India, Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram from where he passed high schools and Birla Institute of Technology and Science –BITS-Pilani from where he graduated as B.E.(Hons) Civil Engineering and MSc.( Hons) Economics . He is also a Chartered Engineer (CE) and Fellow of Institution of Engineers (FIE) and Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
Rajiv is a keen follower of current affairs across the globe and is interested in reading both fiction and non-fiction. He listens to rock music of 60s and 70s and also Indian music of the same era and love to watch tennis, football and cricket and good sport in general. He loves to travel within India and abroad to learn and understand history and people of that place.
He enjoys the mountains more but can appreciate the desert state of Rajasthan and its architecture and tradition and can be quite at home lying on a Goa beach, sipping a cocktail or a beer, after a dip in the sea.
